Alfa Romeo might change its mind about bringing its EV to the U.S. The Alfa Romeo Junior was originally named Milano, but was changed due to an Italian law  The Junior might not be sold in every state if it comes to the U.S. The Alfa Romeo Junior electric crossover could reach the U.S. in a reverse of the automaker’s original plan, reports Automotive News Europe . The brand’s first EV, the Junior was unveiled in April as t he Milano , although Alfa Romeo quickly changed the name because of an Italian law that forbids the use of the name of an Italian city for products manufactured in another country—in this case Poland. Earlier this month, we reported that Tesla was making a number of changes to its Climate Control settings. Along with a new feature that would calm the fan level while on the ‘Auto’ setting during a phone call to decrease ambient noise, Tesla’s release notes stated it would also roll out a new, redesigned Climate Control panel. Some owners complained about the lack of ease there was when making adjustments to the vehicle’s temperature or airflow, which enticed Tesla to make some changes. Which luxury electric SUV would you choose, the Acura ZDX or Cadillac Lyriq? After slashing financing rates, the Acura ZDX may be a better buy than the Cadillac Lyriq or Chevy Blazer EV. With up to $7,200 off a fully loaded ZDX, Acura looks to take a piece of the EV market. Acura first revealed it was launching the ZDX, its first fully electric vehicle, in 2022. The ZDX is based on GM’s Ultium platform, the same one underpinning the Cadillac Lyriq. A year later, Acura officially unveiled the ZDX. Acura said its first all-electric vehicle would be available in single and dual-motor powertrains, including a Type S model. After opening reservations earlier this year, we learned the 2024 ZDX would start at $64,500, much higher than the Cadillac Lyriq ($57,195). SpaceX reports Starlink satellites make 275 collision-avoidance maneuvers daily

By Joey Klender Posted on July 24, 2024 SpaceX recently reported that its Starlink satellites are making a massive number of collision-avoidance maneuvers every day, raising questions about the increased orbital traffic and how companies are avoiding disaster. In its Semiannual Constellation Status Report , which was filed on July 1 by SpaceX, the company said that, on average, each Starlink satellite has had to fire its thrusters 14 times in the timespan of December 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024. With 6,200 active Starlink satellites orbiting the Earth , that accounts to roughly 50,000 collision-avoidance maneuvers in that span. Space.com initially reported on the avoidance maneuver frequency and noted that the fact it’s happening so much raises real questions about traffic.
